Mortgage Charter

The Mortgage Charter is a government-backed set of standards to support customers who are worried about higher interest rates and their mortgage payments. You can read the full Charter on GOV.UK: Mortgage Charter - GOV.UK. We remain committed to the Mortgage Charter. If you’re struggling to make your mortgage payments, or you’re worried about remortgaging, we may be able to help.

You may be eligible for support under the Mortgage Charter if you:
  • have a residential mortgage
  • are up to date with your monthly payments
  • haven’t previously extended your term or switched to interest-only on your current mortgage under the Mortgage Charter
